Like honey for your soul this acoustic pop music sounds like fresh water pooring from a well in the new morning... You can only be so true and strong after a life that has been hard on you and helped to bring out the best of you... The song 'Who do you find' is an acoustic pearl where a man, pure and naked, sings about his strong feelings in a true and unselfish way that we all can learn from. 'When you go' is a song showing Morris as a man with a strong heart, in an ending relationship, painfull but respectfull and in a positive spirit. 'Innocense' recalls the emotion of the Hepstars/Everly Brothers/a.o. with their romantic song 'Let it be me' These kind of songs are rare these days because being pure, respectfull and true to yourself and to others is not done because you have to be selfish, egocentric and demanding today to proove you are aware of your own needs and are strong enough to force your satisfaction, no matter what... Just look in the mirror, get disgusted of yourself and then play Morris' songs to be healed again... and refind what really matters... Songs For A New Century ...but fortunately no Morris Dancing. Morris has been on my wish list for quite a while and I’m now glad that I’ve been converted to a believer. I don’t suppose many artists like being ‘compared’ to another - often more famous - artist but it’s always a useful reference point for new or unfamiliar listeners. For me Morris evokes memories of George Michael’s album Songs From The Last Century where George reinterprets in a more soulful and jazz style classic songs from the last century. Perhaps in Morris we have a modern artist who is going to set standards in vocals and song writing that can lay down classic songs for this century. I certainly hope so. |

This guy has potential too. I wish I wasn't a poor college student so that I could believe more... My only critique is that his music is a little too simple and mechanical. However, I predict that if Morris works hard enough and finds his own unique spin on what he's currently doing, then he will find a strong fanbase, and from there who knows what will happen. All you potential believers out there could save him some time though. Listen and believe my friends. |
