13-04-2008. Shamrock was great!!!

The started for us (Ben and me) with picking up Dreb and Grim from the airport. The trip back to Apeldoorn was realy great. We had such a laugh with them. Realy cool and nice guys!!! The we loaded up our gear and went to Almelo. After entering and leaving Almelo a couple of times, we finaly arrived ad Shamrock. Realy beautifull place! Lot of atmosphere. The soundcheck went ok altough it wasnt realy a soundcheck, but good enough for Dreb and us (Ben- Bass, Michel- Drums, Jeroen- Guitar and me) to do Heaven Again once before the real thing.

After enjoying such great artist playing it was time for us to hit the stage. The Big City went qiute allright and both songs with Sheila (Thank you again Sheila!!!) were kicking ass! Then Dreb joined me on stage and Heaven Again realy rocked. The song is so much better with him singing on it! Realy gives it the emotion it needs! The Black voice wasnt bad either. It was realy cool to do that song live! Last (but NOT least) Johan gave us the honor of doing Bitter End with us (Thank you so much Johan!). It was a just ending of a verry, verry, VERRY nice gig!!!!

I had the pleasure of meating Dreb and Grim (It was awsome dudes!!!)MaWa, Cylu, Erwin, Onno, Casper (again, thank you so much for organizing the gig and the food!!!), Sheila, Johan (and the guys from Radius), Noldi (and the guys from Snelle Fellas, thank you for the guitar solo "duel" :-)), Kostek (Man you ROCK!!!), Febo and of course the ones I already knew, Ed the Cheeshead and Ramona (Did you get home ok or did Ben got lost? ;-)).

Dont know if I forgot anyone, but if I do, sorry for that!

04-02-2008. 3 new songs in pre production finished!!!

I had a lot of inspiration lately and that resulted into 3 new songs!!! One of them, Snowfall, is directly inspirated by the poem of Kristen als called Snowfall. Its not my usual genre, but I'm happy with it! The 2nd one is a ballad. At this point its instrumental and I'm thinking of Vocals for this song. Dont know yet. The 3rd one is a rock song and I got a little inspirated by Alter Bridge (maybe some of you will hear wich song of AB). So now I have to replace all the pre-prod. guitars and make it much less "copy/paste" (some will know what I mean) and then I will upload them as soon as possible! Stay tuned!!!

Sadly I had to deal with some nagtive stuff too! Lost one part! I dont know who took back the part and he or she did not tell me why he or she pulled back the part. Well, life goes on and I will not let this pull me down!

07-01-2008. First blog 2008

Awhile since the last blog, so time for a new one. Since the music making isnt going to well, I decided to put some effort into another part of being an artist: Photo´s! A good photo will do so much for a serious artist, so last saturday a had a photoshoot with a good friend of mine who I admire for his great photowork. As soon as I got the final results I will post them at my profile! Christmas and new year where fun and relaxing. Spent them with my love mostly. Got to see my Bro Vincent and his wife Dawn from the states too. Whas great meeting them again.

05-12-2007. Almost 1 month

Well, almost one month has past since I joined Sellaband as an artist. Some very fun things happend and I cant complain about the results so far. There's just one thing. I'm still totaly out of inspiration at the mo. Want to create a song for Dreb and Joyce, but cant get past the intro. Still cant find the right feel to it. The setting of the first real milestone, reaching 1%, will keep my spirits up for the moment. 1st of december I played one of the last gig's with Glass Moon. It was horrible. We never played that bad! Came last of the 4 bands. Sucks a bit, but life goes on! We still want to do one more show somewhere in the area of Apeldoorn, and then its finaly over.

28-11-2007. Concert (part2)

The accoustic concert of last sunday whas a succes. Hanne did great and we played well. Hanne did 2 of her own songs, which were beautifull. Im trying to convince her to join SAB as an artist herself!

Luckly my pc troubles are over and im ready to record some serious stuff. Its about time too, caus things are realy quiet now :-(. Im experimenting with some diffrent drum sounds, but could not find one to my liking. Have to use the old (also crapy but less crapy) sounds for awhile...

22-11-2007. Concert!

Hanne, singer of former Glass Moon, was asked to perform at Gigant Apeldoorn. Now she dont have enough songs so she asked us to back her up with our own songs. So Glass Moon will gig this sunday around 4pm. Its an acoustic concert, but it should be fun.

Inspiration is a bit down lately. Just like traffic at my profile. Well, never mind, i´m planning a new contest soon and when my new songs (with vocals!!!) are ready, things will get going again. Till then its just reading some forum stuff and keep playing my guitar till something usefull comes out :-S 

19-11-2007. The 3 P´s, Practice, Practice, Practice!

Yesterday I practiced with me 2 bands. Its a bit hard, 2 bands in one day, but its was also a lot of fun. Next sunday could be the last practice session of Glass Moon ever! If 1 december 2007 is our last Gig, then thats the end of it. Could be that we´re gonna gig one more time after that, but thats not certain at the moment. We´ll just have to wait and see.

15 novembre 2007. First week!

My first week here as an solo artist has been a great one and one to remember! 29 parts sold, 15 beautifull believers, 500+ profile views, tagged multiple times, present in the most Club-charts, present in the weekly Sellaband chart, great reviews and A LOT OF FUN! Things cooled down a bit now but when my new songs are ready i hope to get some more action going on. Will take a few weeks though.

First few days!

Looking back at the first few days, im pretty happy with the results so far. And to be honost, some new stuff is cooking up already. Stuff that not only i will have something to do with, but also some big Sellaband names. But enough of that, you will see when the time is right!

Everything thats not guitar in my songs is computer work. Thats the only way at the moment for me to back myself up. Its my plan to work on some inprovements in that area.
