Someone who signed as bpmblue has left a sweet review about Nearfield at WE7.com "In light of many tracks being released over the past few years sampling only a line or two from old songs, or focusing on the heavier sound of dance, Nearfield come as a refreshing new take on the late 80's early 90's slower vibe that was going on. "So Good" stands out as a kind of Portishead meets Innocence track, whilst "Want To" nods its head toward a warming industrial sound. For those of u who like a more Get down and jam in the dirty scheme of things, check out "Feelin U" It Won't Dissapoint! Though u may want to play "Rappin" first as a warm up. Nearfield have great talent and produce a variety of songs of their own together with some memorable collaborations with other Sellaband artists. A case of even 'Stronger' together - surely a good title for a collab song hahaha. We met Alexx and Olga in Salzburg - really nice people and as others have said great supporters of other artists - I am often coming across their name in my wanderings about SAB!! |

"I first met Sylvie when she came to live in Portugal. She also did some modelling for a fashion magazine, besides being an actress. Original compositions, wonderfully entertaining melodies and lyrics. It's impossible to define the Nears in one word or restrict them to one genre. Their creativity extends to their ability to find the right marketing approach. They recently produced a CD "Black Board" in a beautifully designed paper case, thanking all their believers by name, and sending the CDs to each one of them. While listening to all the 12 tracks in one sitting, it makes you realise what a wonderful Duo-band this is and what huge internatio nal potential they have! It's the major labels that should be hitting themselves for not having discovered bands like Nearfield. |

This is the most surprising act I know. How to explain what it's all about. It's not even possible to put one label to say what kind of music Nearfield is producing. Sounding sometimes like moviescores, sometimes music to chill on, but changing just as easy into music that even gets me dancing. But one guarantee: never a dull moment! |

By surfing this website it´s almost impossible not to see the name Nearfield. They are active posters and keep themself in the picture by doing that. I thought you better make some good music you smart ass.... :-) Fortunately they do and I enjoyed listing while it was in the middle of the night. The Studio Jam did make me think of work from Kruder and Dorfmeister, but certainly with an own sound.
