ABOUT:
After a hundred shows on bills of all sizes and sounds, the band decided to hit the studio with world-class drummer Greg Trabandt, former member of Furious Styles. The Long Hill Sessions was produced and engineered by accomplished multi-instrumentalist Paul Opalach, who contributed pedal steel guitar to the aboriginal reggae-rock closer "Breaking It Off". The three preceding tracks offer a glimpse into the musical palette of Marans and Soffer: the pop appeal of "Terminal," the neck-breaking funk of "Anomaly," and the introspective "Doubt" form a diverse yet unremittingly cohesive EP.
With mastering by Alan Douches (Sufjan Stevens, Ben Folds), Off The Bridge's captivating sound has made its way onto both college and commercial radio. The future of the band is bright – studies at SUNY Purchase have led to a wider array of creative ideas in both songwriting and production, and a willingness to tour has proven the band's dedication.
The band is now working on new material with newcomer Nick Zacarelli on drums.

Hey everybody,
Good news! It seems MTV really likes our music. They requested to play our songs on tv for some of its programming. If you tune in to mtv, vh1, or comedy central in the next few weeks or so, you may just here some Off The Bridge! Hope everyone is well.
Cheers,
Adam and the rest of OTB
8/6/07 - News, Drummer Auditions, Bourne, etc...
To begin:
We just played Toad's Place's "grand reopening show". It was our last show for awhile as we will lock ourselves in the chamber of secrets to finish writing and begin the recording of a new cd, so cheers to everyone who came out.
This next record is going to be quite the departure from our last ep, and we are really excited with some of the ideas and sounds that have been making their way onto our pre-production-recording-box, thus far.
In very related news, Some of you may be wondering to yourselves and each other, "Has Nick been undertaking drastic makeovers, plastic surgeries and height increases and reductions between shows, he looks different every time we see this band live..."...We will answer with "Ney! these different looking drummers are in fact, not Nick." Unfortunately, Nick and we have parted ways, due to creative differences. We parted on the best of terms and we wish him best of luck in his future musical endeavors. Having cleared the show schedule, we will be auditioning permanent drummers through August and September. If you are interested:
Drummers send an e-mail to band1@offthebridge.com with "Drummers" as the subject. You must be at least 18, have had previous band experience, and be willing to adjust your schedules accordingly. Include any links to audio clips or video of your playing.
To everyone else, check back for updates and info, as we'll have a studio blog going when the time comes, along with a podcast on itunes, and so much more...
TTFN everyone

Like this pop/rock sound. Excellent songs, good voice. Because of the somewhat "bluesy" feel, some of their tracks remind me of (old) Jonny Lang-songs. |
