One Dying Secret took its first breath in 2005 in the marvelous town of
Sacramento, CA. Their sound was a revitalizing blend of Hard and
Melodic Rock. You may be thinking this is something you’ve heard
before, right? Wrong!
They made it their life and owned it. Their first album “Hopeful Visions for Intriguing Tragedies” was first presented in 2006, to a sold out crowd at The Underground in Roseville, CA. Soon after, the main cut from the album “Painting Contrails” quickly became the number one requested song on the local airwaves. The album truly represented what hard work, dedication, empty pockets and a struggling family life could provide in return………..motivation to do it even better! That brings us to the new chapter in the One Dying Secret anecdote.
In 2007, ODS amended its former lineup with their new vocalist Ryan. A veteran to the world wide music scene, Ryan brought a well deserved confidence to the frontman position that makes witnessing this band’s live show an experience to dwell upon! Wendy from Norcal Entertainment writes, “If you have not seen the new edition to One Dying Secret, then you are missing out.... Ryan is the missing piece to the puzzle... With even more stage presence than ever before and a refreshing solid sound these guys will go far.....”
The band has made huge leaps stylistically while also retaining the melodic, ambient style that has become part of their signature sound. A wide array of legendary influences, intricate drum patterns, addictive lyrics and heart haunting delay provide the strong foundation that will support this bands growth potential. Be a part of the evolution!
