Dear reader.
I am a song writer, drummer and timbalelo from Habana, Cuba. I live in Germany since 1998. I am not only envolved in Son Cubano style but Rock en Espanol, Jazz and some other rhythms as well. I wanna introduce you some of my own compositions that I produce in my little home Studio.
I would love to say that my song "Mi Pueblo Canasí" is a very special song to me. I wrote it feeling homesick and having deep nostalgia about the town where I always lived.
Canasí is a little town (hamlet) where the most of the population is afro descendant, and I am proud to say that my whole music formation was made with those great teachers and friends in the town of Canasí. Under terrible social conditions, I developed my sense for rhythm and for the Cuban Son (Son Cubano) and thanks to the black roots of its people, I keep in this nobel cause of making music. I won’t ever forget, the sugar cane plantations and those in Canasí who gave me the chance to be a musician.
In the Blog, you can read the translation of "Mi Pueblo Canasí", so you can have a feel about how much means to me "my town of Canasí"
Actually, I am playing Jazz music with great young musicians in the city of Altenberg, near Münster, Germany.
I thank you so very much for reading and I hope you to like the music. Drop me a line if you have some comments or if you want to colaborate with me in any kind of music exchange.
To all of you, thanks for visiting. Thanks to the people of "sellaband.com"
