Patrick Tunney is winning over the world one person at a time - and this is not a goal that he takes lightly. Just listen to Up and Go – this acoustic song combines Funk, Blues and Pop into a catchy song that doesn't compromise on musical integrity. Consolidation really is the word to describe Patrick's music – it comes out of years of jams, gigs, and recording sessions in both Europe and Australia.
"Patrick Tunney is the product of what would happen if Jack Johnson and John Mayer had a love child..."
- Shane Downey – Australian Music Management
Patrick is working on an EP at the moment, to be titled Consolidation. This mostly-acoustic collection of songs really captures where he is at the moment with his music; putting together 'the twists and turns that make us who we are'. Consolidation will be released in the next few months with a cascade of shows to follow. This young man relishes every opportunity for his music – and he's studying Medicine at the same time!
Note from Patrick: Hi everyone - Honestly I really hope that you enjoy my music. I enjoyed making it.

Blog
Hi.
In
light of everything that's going on with my music recently (including
but not limited to the recording of my EP), I would like to entitle
this blog "My Promise". This is because, although I tend to use catchy
lines in my songs, I also try to put as much musical credibility in
there as possible. Now the word 'musical credibility' is a term that is
used a lot recently to varying degrees of veracity or intent, so I
would like to define My Promise to you in no uncertain terms.
- I will create music that is perfectly flawed. Take your own meaning from that statement.
- I will not use cliches that have been used by many people in the past.
- I will not use simple chord progressions. That's been done before (see 2).
- I will be true and respectful to my influences (musically).
- All Killer No Filler (refer to 3 and notify me if that's a breach)
- I will always try to make my new song better than the last. In some way.
Now that I've said that, go and listen to my EP versions of Up & Go or Fate and tell me how I'm doing.
Yours Sincerely,
- Patrick Tunney
