Formed by a Frenchman, ex-Paris punk (Ali Stones & les Couscous Makers, RedRum..), but now UK resident, Petites Annonces came about in an unusual way – a small ad in the local magazine – hence the name, (it means Small Ads in French).
Petites Annonces play a unique mix of gypsy jazz (Django Reinhardt et al), those bonnes old french chansons, and a genre unknow until now in this country : “Punk Manouche”. Be prepared to hear something different avec un accent francais !
