TURIN, Italy: Post was formed in the year 2001. It’s four members, all influenced by the music of the 80’s and 90’s, were looking for a personal and distinctive sound to emerge from that common muscical background. Inspired by groups like: U2, REM, the Cure, Radiohead, Jeff Buckley, Nine Inch Nails and Incubus to name a few, they continued their hard work playing many live concerts in the underground of their native Torino, Italy. After being selected by some local producers to appear on various cd compilations such as: “Ritmika 2002”, “Revolver 2004”, “Torino Sotterranea 2005”, “Torino Sotterranea 2006” they also participated in numerous band contests where they consistently finished in the top 3. In 2003 they went back to the studio continuing their creative efforts to find “the” sound they were looking for. They also contributed to the music of a local film director, experience which stimulated them greatly. Being noticed by fellow musicians, 2004 marked the collaboration with two influencial local musicians, Davide Tomat and Rudy, to record and publish an EP. The year 2005 was dedicated to playing live concerts where the Torino musical scene came to know and appreciate Post as a dynamic and tight live act. The continued relationship with Davide Tomat lead to having him as producer on the first 12 song cd written by Post. With the new cd finnished, most of 2006 was dedicated to playing local venues and increasing somewhat the radius of appearance by performing in many cities in the northern part of Italy. Post is now actively searching, thru their management, for a record label and booking agency.
