Don't look back, but keep looking ahead…
… this is what the remaining four members of the Voodoma told themselves when one of the founding members, the guitarist and at the same time the owner of the band's domain name, turned his back on them and left.
The further use of the name “Voodoma” was prohibited, which was a shame, because the band had had quite some success in recent years. To cite some examples: A gig at Germany's best known metal festival (the “Wacken Open Air”), No. 1 hits on U.S. radio stations and international internet communities, performances on TV, countless top reviews (Rock It Magazine, March 2004: “…Germany's best underground band”; Metal Hammer review in November 2004).
But we didn't want to stick our heads in the sand and decided to remain loyal to our fans under a new name but with the familiar sound.
This is why only two days after the break-up we had our first almost sold-out live performance as “Prayer's Eye” at the “Live Club” in Barmen/Wuppertal. Not only our die-hard fans were thrilled, which reassured us that sound-wise we were still on the right track.
Prayer's Eye's sound is stamped by lugubrious melancholy, joined by straight rock and supported by catchy keyboard sounds.
Our lyrics deal with mankind in general by describing the necessity of keeping faith with oneself and the importance of finding one's own way without caring about what others say or try to fool us with.

Just wanted to pop in and give you a heads up on Sommersby's October Competition!
If you haven't already heard, the competition (hot on the heels of his recent neck-in-neck September fiesta) will offer 20 parts for the winner and is open to all artists that have between $9999 and $0 in budget.

This is a great opportunity for you. Campaign with the believers to let them know you'd like to be nominated and encourage them to vote for you when the time comes.
