With $15K I will produce a full CD with 8-10 new songs with renowned New York City producer J. Chris Griffin, a highly regarded producer with production and engineering credits from A-list recording artists such as Madonna, Kanye West, Janet Jackson, Kelly Clarkson, Missy Elliot, John Legend and many more. His work has graced the Billboard charts and working with him on this album will be such an honor.

Of course, I will be hiring a top of the line photographer to shoot the album cover and accompanying promotional photos. I have a short list of photographers that I would like to work with and will make a final decision once the CD is nearing the end of the production phase.

Every Believer will receive a copy of the new CD. Shipping costs will be covered by the artist. I will have 1,000 CDs printed in 4-panel full color Digipaks, which not only are a really awesome movement towards the future, but they're much more environmentally friendly too!

Here is the budget breakdown:
Album production: $10,000
Photography for cover: $1,000 (includes cost of hair and makeup artists)
Pressing of CDs: $1,000 (I will cover mailing costs myself)
Sellaband Cut: (15%): $2,250
Contingency: $750 (in case the album, photography, or pressing of CDs goes over budget. If none of these do go over budget, this money will be used towards promotion phase)

I fully intend on returning to Sellaband within a couple of months after reaching my goal to begin PHASE II of the project, which will be the marketing and promotion phase. While I am working in the studio on my new album, I would like to simultaneously work on the Phase II part of my project. While this is a bit unconventional, I am thinking outside of the box a bit here, but of course with great reasons. Not only will this allow me to get to the studio sooner, but it will also keep Believers involved in the recording process. I will be posting 2-3 video blogs a month documenting my progress and giving Believers a glimpse into the recording process and what really goes on in the studio. This will allow for me to make this journey WITH my Believers and keep my name prominent on Sellaband and beyond - which can only lead to better CD sales and more success!

The promotion phase will be between $5K and $10K and will include a LOT of great advertising - internet, magazines, indie radio stations, posters, mailing costs, etc. I want to get my music into hands of many, the ears of more, and the hearts of everyone!



Incentives for Current Plan:

1 part: Every Believer would receive a copy of the new CD, which will be printed in 4-panel full color Digipaks, which not only are a really awesome movement towards the future, but they're much more environmentally friendly! I will also send each Believer an immediate mp3 of their choice (one of my current songs) - just let me know which song and where I can send it to.



2 parts: Each believer who invests 2 parts or more will receive an entry into my monthly drawing to win a genuine piece of Apryl Evans merchandise. Each month the prize will be different - could be a poster, a calendar, a T-shirt, a magnet, etc. The rule is that you must invest in at least 2 parts in that given month to be in the game!



15 parts: Each Believer who invests 15 parts or more will receive an autographed copy of my EP, "One of Those Girls", which was released on February 2, 2010.

30 parts: Each Believer who invests 30 parts or more will have their names included on a special thank you section on my Sellaband album.

50 Parts: I will send an extra piece of Apryl Evans "swag" (t-shirt, calendar, etc.) AND include a thank you on the "Sellaband" section of my website once it is up and running (It will be a personal paragraph for each Believer rather than just a name listing) for each Believer investing at least 50 parts.

75 parts: I will include free tickets to future shows of mine (Believer to pay for travel expenses) for those investing 75 parts or more.

100 parts: I will extend free admission into my exclusive, invitation-only "Album Release Show/Party" to be held in New York City upon completion of my SAB album (Believer to cover travel costs) for those who invest 100 or more parts. Whether or not you can make it to the party, I will send you a DVD of my performance at the party and will send each of you a personal video thanking you for helping me reach my goal.
