To make his living Quintus was always engaged playing in bands or participating in comercial musical projects. As a producer he concentrated on new talent. Although Quintus recorded many other artists his own Blues songs were never recorded. Since 2001 he has been writing and perofrming his own (Blues) songs and together with his local Brazilian Band (Quintus & Friends) they are prepared to record. Songs as Rattle & Ride and Waitin' on a son will remind the listener of a Southern Rock, Cajun and New Orleans sound. The first demo recordings of these 2 songs (2002) you can download. Because the 'sound' has changed so much since then Quintus & Friends will record these songs again in a demo studio, for you listeners to appreciate the progress and new sound......

November 22... I'm afraid Steamrollin' was playing at dubbel speed... I managed to change that but now the song is interupted in the middle... I'll try to work it out....

New demo recordings of 1 new songs. I recorded it and other songs to present to the band. Gradually I will record all my 'Blues' songs and replace old with new etc....

We are working right now on new recordings and re-recordings of Rattle & Ride and Waiting on a Son, amongst other songs. We'll need some time to put them on SAB but keep checkng for new material.

When listening to Quintus, no matter what mood I was in before, I always move into one of extreme tranquility. The music gives the sense of waves gently sliding across a smooth beach. Everything about these songs is relaxing. I look forward to the day that this wonderful artist gets the opportunity to record his Sellaband album. I get the feeling that it will be well worth the wait. |
