SANCTION............ Born from the ashes of several bands, Sanction formed originally as a side project for Phil (bass) & Kris (vocals) as an expression of the music that they really loved. Recruiting people who had a similar passion to help them in their quest, Gavin (Guitar), James (keyboards) and Aw (Batterie) soon followed. The results are a mixture of classic rock/metal crossed with the over zealous edge of experimental prog, but this is just the beginning as they haven't even warmed up yet. After recording the first album, entitled 'Retribution for the Wicked', followed by a series of storming performances up and down the country, Sanction certainly made their mark on the music scene. They have shocked audiences from Cardiff's The Point to London's G Lounge, whilst stopping by the Bristol Bierkeller to play an electrifying performance. Sanction soon decided it was time to return to the studio to record their second album entitled 'On Distant Shores', which has already made an impact with radio stations and gig promoters nailing them a slot on the Isle of Anglesey motorcycle show, performing in front of a crowd of 4000, their biggest show yet. After performing a support slot for Swedish rockers Freak Kitchen at The Point in Cardiff, Sanction confirmed they have the ability to play with the best and stand up to the crowd, and have since gained dedicated fans and friendship with the mighty Freak Kitchen. Sanction are here and they hope you enjoy the show.

Just wanted to pop in and give you a heads up on Sommersby's October Competition!
If you haven't already heard, the competition (hot on the heels of his recent neck-in-neck September fiesta) will offer 20 parts for the winner and is open to all artists that have between $9999 and $0 in budget.
Please check the forum for updates on contest rules and regs….starts 25 October!
This is a great opportunity for you. Campaign with the believers to let them know you'd like to be nominated and encourage them to vote for you when the time comes.
Of course, if you'd like to, or you know someone who would like to, donate parts for the prizes in the Competition, just send (or have them send) Sommersby the details under a message marked “October Donation."
