This recording is a most beautiful accident: 3 friends used to play improvised Pattern-Jazz / Drum ‘n’ Bass Live sessions together (Fender Rhodes, Drums and guitar).
One day they quit.
One year
later they meet again and decide to go on a short trip to the house of the
guitarist’s family in the southern-german countryside.
Sound freaks as they are, they decide to take some instruments along – and end up carrying a truckload of recording equipment with them. They set it all up in a large room built with wood, clay and glass, with a see-through wall into the forest.
They have no Song. They have 6 days. They leave with 7 complete songs, and mix the album on the 7th day.

Just wanted to pop in and give you a heads up on Sommersby's October Competition!
If you haven't already heard, the competition (hot on the heels of his recent neck-in-neck September fiesta) will offer 20 parts for the winner and is open to all artists that have $9999 or less in budget on 25 October.
