Hello again,

 here I am with blog numero dos. exciting things are happening here in shiraland.  Firstly, I've been mentioned on the Adams Apples section of the tribune. I feel very honored and I'm hoping this will attract more believers and wishlisters...Thankyou Adam!

Secondly I have bought a new guitar! It's a vintage harmony stratatone jupiter.... It's a hollow electric with 2 pickups (dimarzio I think) It's from the late 50's and it sounds amazing! Hopefully I will be recording with it very soon.

Thirdly, I'v been planning my trip to L.A. for the record and things are starting to take shape. I think it should be at the beginning of April (can I even wait that long?) and I am so excited.

Lastly, I've been getting  lot's of great feedback and  reviews from  all of YOU out there in sellaband land. Thank  you thank you thank you. I love to hear from you so drop me line!

So, I've been writing up a storm in preparation for my imminent trip to Los Angeles to record with the lovely and talented Jamie Candiloro (who's worked with Ryan Adams and R.E.M.)

I'm going through a phase where I've been writing a lot of story songs and songs heavy on the metaphor. I find that when you expand beyond yourself in songwriting, the possibilities are endless and wondrous.

Stories and metaphors have included:
1.Running away with the circus
2.A sinking ship
3. Landing on unfamiliar planets in a spacecraft.
etc.

So far these songs (and a bunch others) are to demo-y for internet consumption, but fear not my little pretties, I will post them as soon as they are properly recorded! (In March I think)

I've been feeling so productive and creative lately that I think I shall challenge myself to finish at least a song a week (maybe 2?). WE'll see how that goes...I'll keep you posted
