Why advertisements?
Advertising is the bread and butter for any website and SellaBand is no exception. Where we are sure we differ from other online portals, is that our business-model is based on revenue sharing. Yes, you've read it right. SellaBand will split all advertising revenues with Bands and Believers.How will this work? As soon as the first band/artist has raised $50,000 and the first SellaBand CD has been recorded, we will open our Gallery/downloadportal and will give away the music for free. From that moment on this band/artist and their Believers will share in the advertising revenues. 33,33% will go to the band, 33,33% will go to the Believers, and yes, SellaBand will keep the remaining 33,33%, just in case you were wondering...
When more bands have recorded their music with us, and their music is put up on the Gallery, they will also share in the net-profits. The revenue split will be based on marketshare. The more your songs are being downloaded, the bigger your market share and the more money you make. Sound simple? Well, it is simple! And therefore we feel it is important that we're making a number of spots on our website available for advertisements.
