About Soulslides history:
Soulslide was formed in a summer night in September 2002. David (guitar) and Lars (drums) decided, that the future must bring more possibilities for their musical progress. The new band should consist of musicians who are close friends and who know exactly what they want. They want to move straight forward in the future. So it came to the following cast: The important part on keys was filled by Simone. Since a long time they played together with her, and because of the strength of their friendship it was an easy and well done decision. For the bass-job they decided to take Hendrik, a very impressive and experienced musician. Once again they could win a close friend as a band-member. The only thing missing in this dream-team was a powerful vocalist. Luck was on their side and so they found Sandra. After visiting a rehearsal she decided to give her voice to Soulslide.
Soulslide recorded their debut album "Dreamshade" from January to February 2003. The CD includes four songs recorded at the Play-it-Loud Studio in Duisburg (Germany). At first Soulslide recorded those four tracks for the Promo-CD so that they could find a label, get gigs and responding to the great demand of the fans they also produced 100 pieces signed by the band members. The CD includes the tracks: 01. Nightmare 02. The Dreamer 03. Soulslide 04. Alone in the dark.
It was in the beginning of 2005 were Sandra told them that she got heavily diseased and that they only can wait and take a look if she can ever sing again. Fortunately she get well again but they had to split at the end of 2006 because of the big distance of their hometowns. In the end of 2007 Soulslide found the new singer Cynthia and recorded a new song after two month with engineer Andi Petri at Play-it-Loud Studio. At the moment they work out the old songs with Cynthia to prepare for first liveshows in the beginning of 2008.

Hey friends
we are very sorry but we have to tell you that Soulslide won't take part on metalcamp '08.
Based on the agreement with the promoters we were not able to sell our minimum amount of tickets and so we were kicked out of that billing.
It's a great pity but we look hopefully to the next months. Stay tuned with us and watch out for comin dates.

As you might have seen we have got a new design on our official website. There's also a new multilingual forum where you can talk with the bandmembers. Last but not least we have got a new gallery with some new pix from the studiosession and other activities.
Besides our carnival celebration we work out new&old songs for upcoming shows, so we hope to cu soon...

Nov.'07:
November was a good experience for us. we recorded that song and had a very nice time in the studio. During that record we cauld work out many different things and Andy gave us the chance to experiment with lots of tunings and playings.
Okt.'07:
new material in progress:
At the moment we rehearse hard. There are a lot of new ideas and within the last weeks we worked out a new song. It will be more uptempo with a straight groove but also with some atmospheric keyboardparts in the middle and of course with the new voice of Cynthia.
Prerecordings are almost ready and so we were looking for a suitable possibility to record that new stuff with an adequate sound.
Just now the choice is done and it will be the "Play-it-loud-Studio" again. This decision was not very hard 'cause Andy(soundegineer) knows our style and functioning from the "Dreamshade" recordings. Alltogether we are looking forward to a good record of that song and a nice and funny time.
Beside that songwriting we worked out the old songs with our new voice to prepare for first liveshows at the beginning of 2008.

Hey folks
here's the newest news from Soulslidetown.
We are really happy cause we've got a new face in Souslide.
Her name is Cynthia and she will fill the vocaljob from now on.
Cynthia cames from Luxemborg. She has got a huge background due her vocal studies and live activities in the range of pop, rock, opera and musical.
We already had some rehearsals and it fits just perfectly together.
At the moment we make plans for some recordings with her new voice.
More infos will follow within the next few days.
May'07:
There were a lot of changes in the last months.
At the end of 2006 Sandra and we decided to strike new paths. Due to the fact that our hometowns are far away from each other it was kinda impossible to rehears because we aren't millionaires. So we are glad that Sandra found a great band nearby her home, we will miss her lots but its better this way. We wish her all the best for the new career in Elis.
