Until Acoustic-Indie-Pop-Rock-Altern ative-Americana becomes an official genre, Spellbox are definitly going to remain an individual genre-hybrid. But hey, its more special that way! Lead by the driving tones of Mysti Mayhem, a modern incarnation of past rock goddesses such as Debbie Harry and Pat Benetar. Her voice ranges from the dulcet tones, blending with emotive acoustic passages, and leading into some of the most passionate verses known to Sellaband. Mandocello, Mysti's partner in crime takes a leading role as he involves himself in making the Spellbox sound unique, blending amazing guitar passages with the catchiest melodies and choruses possible. Spellbox represent a sense of freedom and rebellion- who wants to stick to the rules and abide by unwritten genre rules? Spellbox are unique and here to stay. |
