Anyhow, on this first one I'll just give you the quick version of how I got started in music.

I started playing and writing music at an early age. I have been in many Bands
and have played many genres of music. My favorite is the Blues but I also like Jazz, Rock, and pretty much anything else that makes me tap my foot.

I grew up in a poor neighborhood and my Mom and Dad could not afford much for us in the form of toys and such. So, one day I was bored and decided to explore the attic. In a small back room tucked away in a corner was this ancient upright piano. It took me half the day to clear the boxes and junk that had been there forever.

When I finally cleared the way, I sat down on some stacked up boxes and started to mess with the notes. I liked it! It was cool and took me to another place in time. Then I started hitting more then one key at a time and discovered chords. I would go to that piano just about every day and play for at least two hours. And that my friend is how I got into music!

Ok, day number one on the Forums.

I came across the Forums yesterday and posted a quick please check my site out post.

It has been working out and have had a few people stop by.

I added the words to the three songs I have here and will be interested to see if I get any remarks or believers!

So, today I worked on the vocals for a new song I wrote the other day. When I figure out a vocal part I try it in many forms, I'll change keys and tempo and see which one I like the best.

I use a Roland VS-2480 DVD to do most of me recording and I switch between Sonar and the 2480 on mixes and like both of them.

It's Easter Sunday and not much going on around here. 

I'm taking a nice quiet day to reflect on everything.

I have just joined TalentCast and uploaded one song so far. I will be adding at least five more songs to their station as soon as I get the bit rate higher. I had all my songs saved as 128 bit MP3 but this new TalentCast lets you use a higher bit rate which I think is great!

Hello there

I have just added another song to TalentCast!

It's called "You Don't Call Me" and it's a fun little song that I hope you will all like.

Today I'll be working on some song parts for some of my musician friends and it looks to be challenging and great fun!

So...

I have high hopes and great faith that at some point a believer will stop by my page and listen to my songs and say, hey! Cool stuff!

It's a waiting game for us muscians and I'm sure a lot of musicians just get so down they decide it's not working but you have to see the big picture and I do.
