I started to develop an ear for music at the age of 13 as my circle of friends changed from the
progression of changing from junior to comprehensive school. Music became an obsession and still
very much is. My sister had a good taste so I had access to a wide range of current music at home.
I taught myself to play guitar as soon as I fell in love with music, other instruments followed.
I started to record my music on an old tape machine not worthy of any decent quality but it
was a good start. A few Christmases later I received the classic Tascam portostudio 414,
this was a major turning point in the recording process as I had more tracks to play with.
As I got older, the equipment got better as did the music.
Even though I have been playing music from an early age I have only recently being playing gigs
for a year or so. However all shyness that once was has now all but disappeared.
In the summer of 2006 I recorded three e.p.s: Home, Given, Thoughts each contain three songs
about modern life. I will continue to record e.p.s as long as I continue to write and record.

Howdy!
Just wanted to pop in and give you a heads up on Sommersby's October Competition!
If you haven't already heard, the competition (hot on the heels of his recent neck-in-neck September fiesta) will offer 20 parts for the winner and is open to all artists that have between $9999 and $0 in budget.
