Formerly known as the elleander grey project.  The blackguards were founded by Matt Carr, but have featured other artists such as Tony Gambini, and Brad Chamblin.  They are mostly inspired by 1920's blues musicians such as geechie wiley, robert johnson, mississippi fred mcdowell, and even more modern artists such as bob dylan, brightblack morning light, the brian jonestown massacre, and the black rebel motorcycle club.
