1974, The Boulton Brothers Band was formed, the line up consisted of Tim – ( newly returned from Hull College of Art) Lead / Rhythm Guitar, Symon – Rhythm / Bass Guitar & Peter – Drums, ( Both still at secondary school ). A repertoire was quickly built up, and they gained some notoriety as they performed locally.
Some early work still survives on the ‘Bootleg Sessions 1974 Album’.
However, life and opportunity meant that the brothers went their separate ways. Symon moved abroad, Tim and Peter gave up music seriously, and musical contact was lost.
January 2005, Thirty years on, and with all in the same country again , a tentative session was organised in practice rooms. It was soon apparent that though rusty the rapport was still alive, and an early, energetic version of the personal song ‘Reunion’ emerged.
This success opened a floodgate of material, some of which appears on their first album aptly named “ Reunion “. Included is a nostalgic link to 1974 in the track ‘Almost Home’, the basic patterns of which were written at that time.
Their second and current Album is the fine “ Live From the Couch”
BBB try to keep it real, all the tracks on this album are recorded pretty much how they are when they play them live, enjoy!
