Scorching 60s/70s style blues/funk rock influenced by Hendrix and Mayer, from a 16-18 year old SW London band. The vocalist belts it out like an experienced pro and the musicianship is spot on. Exciting stuff. And OK, so my son Matt is already backing them, but I want my album too. |

These guys address the details in their compositions and the lead singer has got the soul to flavor their genre with a contemporary and unique flair. All the best to The Magic Roundabout. |

Young? Old? Progressive? Old School? All that matters is good or bad, and MR is great NOW. While they have roots in classic blues-based rock, The Magic Roundabout does not imitate, they transcend. They reach deep into the throbbing grimy core to touch the universal. |

Put all big rockbands/artists from the 70's in a box, shake it up a little, put some flavour from present time to it and you'll get 'The Magic Roundabout'! I totally agree with all the names of influences here but I wonder why nobody mentioned the Doors yet?! |

Everything old is new again. If Amy Winehouse can bring back Billie Holiday, then these guys can bring back John Mayall. |

Well... what can I say? WOW! My dad (Richard) pointed these guys out to me over email, as he spends a lot more time surfing the new bands than I do on this site, and otherwise I probably would never have discovered this awe-inspiring collaboration of young musicians. These guys are aged between 16 and 18, yet, when I played a sample of their music to one of my friends (who, like me, is a massive fan of their influences: John Mayer and Jimi Hendrix), he immediately asked me if it was one of the forementioned classic artists. It is true, these guys display obvious links to legendary artists such as Hendrix, and I even detect a hint of Cream, however they are in no way copying what has already been done in the past (and they are not trying - because no-one, no matter how good, could ever match the extreme guitar playing of the late Hendrix), instead, this band bring a new refreshing spin to the alternative rock genre. Their songs are lively, but at the same time surprisingly relaxing - this is a challenge that can only be mastered by the best of musical artists. These guys are definitely worth a listen, and then another 20... when they reach the $50K mark, they are going to be making a big impact all across the music industry. |

Very refreshing to hear a band bringing back the flavours of hendrix and the like. We're talking full on Blues Rock here played with real passion and energy. High quality music throughout from the vocals to the composition. |

These boys play blues that hits the soul just like the greats, they have a special something that cannot be put into words! Blues continues to develop and grow in the 21st century. Hits the spot. So refreshing to hear blues rock, jazz is back with a contemporary spin! HEAR THIS!! |

BEWARE: TMR is fake!!! They MUST be old blues-veterans who played in the sixties in bands like The Spencer Davis Group, The Yardbirds and John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers. It's just too good, too authenthic. |

Fans of the Clapton songbook will really appreciate the Yardbirds and Cream vibe. Intelligent song arrangements and strong musicianship will take them a long way. I love the warm and unpolished vocals; and by that I mean raw, and in good way. These lads can definitely play, and to think that the oldest member is only 18... Fantastic! |
