We are two brothers that hail from Newcastle, NSW, Australia!
-MISSION-
There are many people our age (19-24) that are missing from the Body of Christ because of some offence or perception of who God is by the church. They don’t need to come back to a system of organised religion; they need to come back to a personal relationship with Jesus.
For us, our passion is to see the young people of our generation come to an understanding of God the Father through His Word, experiencing His love for them in the power of His Spirit, and become transformed so they can become a demonstration of Jesus wherever they go.
For those who haven’t drifted from their relationship with Jesus, there is a need to become distinguished from the world, single-minded, and step into the boldness that comes with knowing the Truth. It’s time to share the gospel like we actually believe it, and enter into its fullness by the power and love of the Holy Spirit.
-FUTURE VISION-
We would like to bring open air concerts to remote areas and public parks via truck, mobile stage, and generator, and be the biggest thing in town. We have come from a country town, and we know how boring it can be!
Steve is currently working as an electrician on the Summer of Love Tour which is pioneering this dream, and getting practical tips and contacts to flesh out our vision! It is very exciting, and we are endeavouring to begin a new era in concerts.
-HISTORY-
Nige...
He has been songwriting and playing guitar for 8 years, and still owns the Maton 225 (very nice Australian-made acoustic guitar). It is showing signs of wear around the sound hole, but it "adds character". He uses a Gibson for electric gigs, and tube amplification.
He has written over 160 songs, and won the 2003 Christian Rock Eisteddfod's songwriting competition in Sydney. Also one of his songs "brothers and sisters" is set aside for a compilation disc that "The Voice of The Martyrs Canada" are making. Very exciting!
Steve...
He has been drumming for 15 years, and certainly gives 110% to keep the rhythm pumping! He plays a '99 model Pearl Export drum kit with a piccolo snare. He would like to invest in a Roland TD-20 electric kit for extra effects. Steve has not long bought a cajon - pronounced "cahone" - which is a South American drum that looks like a box. It is fitted with snare wires, and sounds amazing with acoustic guitar.
-WEBSITE-
We are currently working on the web idea, but for now you can check out our MySpace page at...

Howdy!
Just wanted to pop in and give you a heads up on Sommersby's October Competition!
If you haven't already heard, the competition (hot on the heels of his recent neck-in-neck September fiesta) will offer 20 parts for the winner and is open to all artists that have between $9999 and $0 in budget.
Please check the forum for updates on contest rules and regs….starts 25 October!
This is a great opportunity for you. Campaign with the believers to let them know you'd like to be nominated and encourage them to vote for you when the time comes.
Of course, if you'd like to, or you know someone who would like to, donate parts for the prizes in the Competition, just send (or have them send) Sommersby the details under a message marked “October Donation."
Hope you join in on the fun and GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!!!
