August 19 - Working on New Promo CD
Hi everybody!
Just wanted to let you know that we are working hard on a new set of songs that are likely to make it into our next promo CD. Be sure to stay tuned for exclusive demos here on SAB as work progresses. We are really excited with the results so far as this sounds like our best work yet. We also want to take our time with each song and perfect them before we release the promo CD. We are counting on your feedback.

About The Attic
The Attic approaches the intense and delicate Portishead's atmospheres and the ethereal and explosive Sigur Rós' density, creating their own universe materialized by an unique and involving sound.
The listener is taken to that universe, invoking an imaginary of deep and eternal themes, in a special trip, intimate and emotive.
The Attic. An unknown world made of sound, undetermined and mysterious, simultaneously filling and filled with Music. Rogério Silva's voice, Miguel Veríssimo's clarinet and André Santos' guitar make us travel to those landscapes, (re)creating portraits and experiences.

Here are some photos of our last show at Tambor Q Fala. Hopefully we'll have a video of that night also!

We had a blast in our last show at Tambor Q Fala. It was great to do two new tracks live and the audience was really into our little journey on stage. It was one of the most intimate and profound experiences for The Attic. It just keeps getting better every show.

We're dedicating more to Sellaband, and recently added new photos and mp3. Lets make our way to the 50k!
For the portuguese: tomorrow, concert at Tambor Q Fala, Seixal!

The longer you remain in the attic, the least people will hear and invest in your otherwise great music! Have withdrawn my parts in you for now. When you decide to be active again on Sellaband, I will put the parts back in.
In the meantime, enjoy the concerts and creating music! Good luck!

Today it starts a new round, the 3rd round of the Sommersby October's competition, so I need your help...
It would only takes 3 minutes of your time, and it would be sooo important to me... You only have to go here:

and write: I vote for Gisel and ...... (it must be ONLY ONE of the following artists: N'Kenge, Angie, Lu-Li, Bonnie or Snelle Fellas) (per example: I vote for Gisel and N´kenge) But you have to write 2 names, because if you only vote for one artist, your vote won´t count...
So please, I know you can think that if you don´t vote, it won´t matter so much, but, it matters...In last round there was a tie, so one vote really count.

Just wanted to pop in and give you a heads up on Sommersby's October Competition!
If you haven't already heard, the competition (hot on the heels of his recent neck-in-neck September fiesta) will offer 20 parts for the winner and is open to all artists that have $9999 or less in budget on 25 October.
This is a great opportunity for you. Let all your believers know you'd like to be nominated and encourage them to vote for you when the time comes.
Of course, if you'd like to, or you know someone who would like to, donate parts for the prizes in the Competition, just send (or have them send) Sommersby the details under a message marked “October Donation."

I came across your music by accident and was totally stunned. You really have something to standout from the crowd: a unique sound and a profound vision of what music should be. The Attic is fresh, raw, powerful, and intimate. The inclusion of the clarinet is a special touch that won't pass by unnoticed. Great vocals and daring guitar tunes all the way. I'll keep track of your progress. |
