The Calculus Affair (founded in 2006) hail from the mystical, magical southern regions of New Holland (AKA Australia). A four piece, the Calculus Affair play a unique brand of alternative skiffle music influenced by the works Incubus, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Smashing Pumpkins and that kooky asian guy from Idol who couldn't sing but got a record contract anyway.

The Calculus Affair's line up consists of Gary, Troy, Tim and Rhys, and instrumental duties are split between members; for example, it is not unusual to see Troy, in the space of a few songs, go from guitar to bass to percusion to some kind of tin flute thing.
