The DC's. A young, but highly ambitious alternative rock band, located in the university city of Leiden, NL. Consistant of three brilliant musicians, the DC's are set to take over the scene in a matter of months, for in february 2007 they recorded their apostacy-themed demo-album, 'Chapter Zero', made up of ten differing, but powerful tunes. All of the songs were originally composed by the band itself, and with the influences of major bands like Led Zeppelin, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and the Mars Volta, they refined their own sound, to a sound that suits the ears of any alternative or epic rock fan. The pumping drum and bass work produced by the core of the band, Jaap van der Kleijn and Hubert Borst, opens a creative envorionment for the smashing guitars and vocals, done by Tom Brouwer.
There aren't enough words to describe the potential of this trio, the only thing that's worthy enough to convince you, is listening to their music, coming to their shows, and experiencing the hype that only the DC's can develop.
THE DC's - CHAPTER ZERO
1. Welcome to the life of Johnny Kaizer
2. Skeleton, Skeleton
3. Mary's Place
4. Carnival at Prospect Park
5. 24/7 Down South
6. Uncle Mart/Yaku Soku Geiko
7. Go Home
8. Stop This Train
9. The Potary Coast
10. Rosie is a Loner Again
After hearing the first minute of the album, you will find yourself on the New York City streets, caught up in the tale of Johnny Kaizer, who's life was led astray by sex, drugs and rock and roll. As Johnny gets lost in the world of raves and parties, he meets a woman, Rosie, who turns his world upside down. While in the midst of 'Carnival at Prospect Park', Johnny decides to take Rosie on a trip she would never forget. The two leave town in the midst of a long winter night, to run along the tracks, looking for a train to Texas. Once the lovers find a train, they are so blinded by the happiness of leaving, that they step on the wrong train, one which has been haunted for decades. On the train of Mart Hargraves, the couple experience the most intense trip, and end up rolling through impossible, epic and astonishing landscapes, at high speed. Conflict starts when the two find out that Johnny's old friend Chelsea had been following them, planning to join them on their trip to sanctuary. Once entering this parallel dimenson, there is no turning back.

Sorry jongens, ik vind het gitaarspel erg goed, maar de zang komt op mij iets te schreeuwerig over...

I can see why you mention Mars Volta and Led Zep in your influences list - I can hear both of those quite clearly. I'm not sure at all about you at the moment in terms of whether or not I like your music, because it doesn't instantly grab me (never been that big a fan of your main influences either if it's any consolation). But I will be dropping by for a few more listens before I decide whether or not I'll be adding you into the wish list.

I stopped by to let you know about a forum that is used by many believers and artists from Sellaband (SAB has mentioned that they are working on an official forum soon) http://sellaband.pro boards79.com/ I also wanted to mention a website put together by one of our other believers http://www.imasellab andaddict.com/site/ where you can see video footage of an interview with the guys behind sellaband.
