I am proud to be the biggest Travellers believer but I'm now following his fate onto Amiestreet where I think he will stand more chance given that he is a soundscape artist, rather than a typical singer songwriter. As per my post on Travellers profile some time back, I'm reducing my parts in response to his request. Good luck Rui - you deserve huge success, even if it doesn't happen here. Ade |

Rui is a true master of nu-jazz. If you like modern jazz mixed with intelligent electronica, you will be as much delighted as I am. All his tunes are great, his recordings do not have any weak moments. What we have here? Saxophone, jazzy melodies, hypnotic electronic beats, strange sounds generated on synthesizer, romantic female vocals, small bits of world music and ambient to spice the dish - I guarantee that listening to his music would turn to be a travel of your life. And after becoming a believer you can continue this great travel on amiestreet.com, where for few cents you can buy several of his full albums. If you like such artists as Moby, Jaga Jazzist, Squarepusher or Robotobibok (great Polish nu-jazz band), do not hesitate. |

The name Travellers is well chosen: when I am on the road I like to play this kind of ambient/electronic roadmoviemusic. Check the tracks of the new CD: three of them on line right now!! More information at http://www.freewebs.com/travellers-oficial-site/ and http://www.amiestreet.com/trav ellers |

The Travellers were a Canadian folk singing group which formed in the summer of 1953.[1] They are best known for their rendition of a Canadian version of This Land Is Your Land with lyrics that reference Canadian geography. The group was formed as a result of singalongs at Camp Naivelt, a Jewish socialist vacation community that was operated by the United Jewish Peoples' Order north of Brampton, Ontario.[2] Pete Seeger was a regular visitor to the camp and encouraged the group.[2] |

It doesn't matter if you like to travel or not, with the music made by Rui Serra you will be able to enjoy journeys without leaving although it is very suitable for on the road. Great music to make you calm, day - evening or night, good mood or bad mood or no mood at all. I recommend it! |

Very nice tunes! If you like "Ambient/ World Fusion"-music you will most probably like this artist. And if you have not been into this yet, check him out! Not too tranquillizing. He got definitely his own style. My favourite title is "Coffee Shop And Belly Dancers". Interesting to hear how the arabic voices blend into the rythym. I got the "Driving Deserts" CD from him (thanks!). Each title sounds a bit different. Of course, there is a continuity in all the songs. But it's not repetitively at all. Really like a journey. Great CD! And he definitely deserves more attention here at sellaband ;). |

Hip lounge-world-fusion: eclectic, stylish soundscapes that travel the world - atmospheric - believe me, I've been on the road across the planet since '88 ... a well cool soundtrack for global travels. |

Great concept, amazing interpretation and arrangements of the world's musical heritage. Listening to the songs they transported me on a virtual trip across the globe. I found myself in a Soukh, waiting for some Mint tea a few minutes ago (now I got to find the real thing soon ;-). The music is not distracting me from my work, it helps me to concentrate. It's pure and honest lounge music, without being overpowering. I believe in Travellers' musical journeys, I'm joining him and hope that you'll be travelling with us soon as well! In peace and light Li |
