Trips is a fusion band from San Francisco. The band is a fiery three-piece with Tom Dickes (Guitar, Vocals, Trumpet, percussion), Jason Kinne (Guitar, Vocals, Harmonica, Trumpet), and Eli Kinne (Drums). They make up this powerful improv super group. You'll be amazed at how they float through the sounds, switching multiple instruments on the fly, and working around the fact there is no bass player.
You really need to see them live to get the full experience and sadly, these three musicians are poor and starvin' so the quality of these live tracks are not very good since they couldn't afford good recording equipment or studio time (so any 'Believe' donations you can make would be great), but still you'll find yourselves captured by the journey of the music. We are sorry for the low volume and poor quality of the tracks. Anyway, thanks for listening and have a wonderful trip.

Howdy!
Just wanted to pop in and give you a heads up on Sommersby's October Competition!
If you haven't already heard, the competition (hot on the heels of his recent neck-in-neck September fiesta) will offer 20 parts for the winner and is open to all artists that have between $9999 and $0 in budget.
Please check the forum for updates on contest rules and regs….starts 25 October!
This is a great opportunity for you. Campaign with the believers to let them know you'd like to be nominated and encourage them to vote for you when the time comes.
Of course, if you'd like to, or you know someone who would like to, donate parts for the prizes in the Competition, just send (or have them send) Sommersby the details under a message marked “October Donation."
Hope you join in on the fun and GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!!!

These guys are friends of a friend and he took me to go see them in San Fran one night while I was down visiting. Their live show was Awesome!!!!!!! It's sad the tracks they've put up don't do them justice. Too bad they can only upload three tunes... I was surprised not to see some of their longer songs on here (my favs) but maybe there is a file limitation or something. Anyway, be sure to 'Believe' as they sure could use some real studio time.
