Ladies and Gentlemen.... this is Your House By combining the many styles found throughout the back-alley bars, we have molded a sound that ranges from freestyles to reggae roots. Your House is a genre of music founded in the city of Vancouver. Originally two bands, one with reggae tones and the other a mix of hip-hop and rock, we first jammed together in the winter of 2006. After much experimentation, our two groups eventually found our sound in an unfamiliar middle ground, blending a wide variety of sound to produce a dynamic and powerful mix. Quickly we all connected with the music that would forge Your House. Since then, we have played venues all over the province including night clubs, bars, theaters, outdoor concerts, and even an engagement party. Most recently, we just won a Supernova battle of the bands competition which funded the production of our demo. Simply put, Your House consists of a group of friends who have each grown up in a city encased in sound. Each one of us has spent the greater portion of our lives learning and creating our own musical niche. As a group, our style reflects the authenticity of the many different types of music that is found throughout the West Coast. We have no predefined genre, no specific rulebook that constricts the creative output of seven dedicated musicians. Our sound is who we are, where we're from, and what we play.
