Zwarte Poëzie creates
alternative rock music in the Dutch language, like a mix between The Cure and Spinvis. After playing togehter with the last act during the fall of 2006, the band played accros Holland last year. For this spring there are international venues on the schedule in Berlin and Warsaw.
In Zwarte Poëzie (Black Poetry), singer Edwin van der Velde expresses his feelings in his poetic lyrics and the rest of the band strengthens the melancholy with their dark and rocking sound.
Besides playing concerts the band received good reviews on their latest release 'Grijs Verleden'. You can read them (in Dutch) at 3voor12 and LiveXS.

ga me best doen voor jullie, erg interessante muziekstijl en goede teksten, lijkt me niet moeilijk om mensen warm te krijgen voor jullie, en belivers komen niet vanzelf maar als het balletje rolt....

Helaas is mijn gevoel blijkbaar niet in t Nederlands.
Om de een of andere reden schrijf ik de tekst altijd in t Engels. Heb al serieus geprobeerd om in t NL en zelfs in t Limburgs te schrijven, maar dan kan mijn eigen product me niet bekoren. Het lijkt wel eens verloren. Of niet helemaal geboren. En daarom mag t dan niet blijven :P
Maar het wordt weer winter. Te korte dagen, te veel tijd om voor de haard te zitten, of in een of andere donkere kroeg te hangen.
En dan met een glas whiskey te veel goede teksten produceren.... en de dag erna in nuchterdere toestand niet eens meer kunnen lezen wat je voor onzin gefabriekt hebt.

Hee, bedankt voor jullie bericht, anders hadden we jullie misschien niet opgemerkt, en dat zou zonde zijn. We wensen jullie veel voorspoed op Sellaband en we zullen jullie in de gaten houden. Ons eerste (deels) Engelstalige nummer komt bijna uit, dus we houden het niet compleet Nederlands ;-) Maar we zullen ook wel weer met nieuw Nederlandstalig materiaal op de proppen komen.
