An awesome collection of acoustic songs. Cubworld uses the full effect of his voice to push out every last drop of feeling into this recording. It fits almost every mood, from the uptempo ' Wise Words' to the more melancholic 'My World'. An outstanding effort and achievement by this former self-made man. Definitely worthy of being in everyones music collection.

This guy is realy amazing! I saw him at first at the Dutch televion and fell in love with his sound. I ordered his CD and that was above my expectations! Love the Album. Full of just about everything that an Island kid like Jake has gone through. Very fun and emotional songs full of personal application. I know Jake and what he sings about and how he presents his song (acoustically and produced) is always first about him. His songs have that very real quality. I hope he gets to make more albums because i feel that this album has only just scratched the surface of what cubworld can do.

‘Step Lightly Create Out Loud’ is totally aWeSoMe!!! :o) it’s been playing here most of the day everyday since it came out… LOVE it!!! :o) can’t wait til my CDs get here!!!! I don’t know how many favorites you’re legally allowed to have on one album, so I’ll just mention the three with the highest play count on my iPod… ‘This Is Life’– these are my favorite lyrics… sounds fantastic... ‘Wise Words’ is all kiiiindsa cool!!! such a unique and waaay cool sound… for sure two Artists that belong in song together!!!! :o) :o) ‘For Love’ is just only one of the most beautiful songs ever… overall – an amazing voice and fresh sounding songs with something to say… just totally awesome all the way around!!! :o) :o) :o)

I've read the other reviews and I am hard pressed to find more eloquent words to describe this album. It truly is "feel good" music at it's best. I know Jake is inspired and influenced by several artists, but for me, it's really hard to compare him to other musicians and songwriters. I feel Jake is blazing new trails he can call his own. I hear the island influence most of all and I when I sit back and listen to this album it's like sitting on a porch with Jake listening to him jam. The picture of Jake sitting on the roof of some building with just him and his guitar is classic and personifies what he's all about. You can strip alot of artists down and they come up short without all the studio tricks and fabricated sounds. With Jake, we all fell in love with the raw sounds of he and his guitar and this is what we get with a bit of refining. What I think this album shows is the possibilities Jake has yet to reach. Both as a songwriter and as a performer. So my question is, "When does the next album come out?"

If you take a ridiculously gifted Polynesian boy with his love of Coldplay, Dave Mathews and Jack Johnson, give him 50k of believers money to create an album with talented producers from BKN; the result could only be described as cosmic. Step Lightly Create out Loud is a showcase of Cubworld's talent and a wonderful incite into Jake's world. As you immerse yourself into this emotional journey you realize that "there is so much more here than pain". Rocked Out is a radio friendly hit about breaking up which will have you singing out loud while tapping your feet. For Love leaves you reflecting on this world, the current wars and like most of us, questioning the point of it all. There is so much hope for us in his world, our world, we just to need to love more and fight less. Wise words I hear you say. This collaboration with fellow 50k artist Maitreya will have you skanking to its ska riffs. Maitreya laid his lyrics down with his usual silky delivery. Lights Fade has always been a favourite. It was the song that brought me back to SAB everyday and finally convinced me to believe. Some of the raw emotions in Jake's voice has been lost but cleverly replaced with multiple layers of Coldplayesque soaring melodies. Lights Fade will always be a beautiful song. Start Over is the handy work of the BKN boys. It takes you on an unexpected yet interesting detour on this journey. Unexpected journeys are part of life. This is Life, the gem on the album. You sit reflecting on sad, happy moments and hopefully in the end you might agree it has made you who you are. Cubworld takes us on a magical journey with My World, influenced by Imogen Heap’s Hide and Seek you could easily close your eyes and be teleported to the beaches of Hawaii. With Step Lightly, Create out Loud on full blast, Jake, You Make Me Feel, like I care.

I have downloaded the entire album, because I was too curious and don't have the patience to wait for the CD to fall on my door mat. I really really like the album! All the songs sound familiar and fresh at the same time. Kick ass recordings, great band, great production and mixing! I hope you are satisfied with how your songs sound on the album, Jake, because it's quite different than how you've played them before, I assume. I like the songs anyway! If you ask me to pick the top songs from your album, they would be: Amsterdam, Wise Words, You Make Me Feel, My World and Who I Am. I will play those over and over again for sure! Cubworld has taken folk rock to a new level with his "Create Out Loud" set. Inspired by groups like Coldplay, Jack Johnson (another Hawaii native) and others, he drives each song with his rich bluesy vocals. And with the East-coast flair courtesy of Kiyanu and the studio guys, Cubworld has managed to evolve his sound into something special. Nice work Jake. Keep it up, and let's jam soon.
