"The Need" is a song inspired by the natural beauty of New Zealand. Having grown up on the beach, Seoul was the furthest from a coastline I have ever been. I wrote it when I was going through one of my homesick phases, and filmed the video around my local neighborhood.

Hey There,
I'm an unsigned singer/songwriter from Aotearoa. I enjoy many styles and genre's of music but am most drawn towards those which have a strong acoustic flavor. Influence's include Ben Harper, Damien Rice, Dave Dobbyn, and Jack Johnson.
Making music is a real passion of mine, and with your help, is something I would love to be able to do full time.
A lot of the songs I write are based on observations of human interaction and of self reflection. I love music that "tells a story" and squeezes an emotion, hopefully my music squeezes something inside you.

Website now online
Just a quick note to let you all know my official website is now online. The store should be all go soon, which means everything Kane Sole will be only a few clicks away...well...almost everything.

I've just uploaded one of my new songs "Hindsight". It's a song about learning from mistakes, growing, and regret.
I'm yet to record this one, so for now, the video from our Melbourne showcase is my only way of sharing it with you. Hope you enjoy...

Hovering half way up the second page of the charts is great as far as it goes, but Kane Sole is another of the great performers on Sellaband who's been hiding his talent for song writing and performance for too long. Have a listen and tell me you honestly wouldn't like a copy of his Sellaband Album! |

Well, I have found a new one to watch go through this fun process of following a dream. This young man is a singer-songwriter who can actually do both extremely well. I can hear and understand his lyrics and the strong beat makes me want to get moving to it, but it does not overwhelm the song. He really is a "Singer with his own voice". I do not play or sing a lick, but I got great ears for music {or so I think} I predicted that Mr. Sole will move right up to his goal. I am looking forward to watching his progress. Cuggie |
