Funky, Poppy, Fun Rock with pleasantly powerful female vocals. With a strong production, and a bundle of talent its easy to see how Luna Assassins have made it this far. The songwriting skills are second to none, with choruses that stick firmly inside your head. Vocalist Jo adds a new dimension of strength to the compositions. Her talented voice glides through each track perfectly, and powerfully grabs the attention of all who have the delight of checking the band out. A quick listen to any of the songs on Luna Assassins profile will assure that they'll remain in your head. The female fronted Mua'dib, the funked up Tiff Gow- however they're described or classified, there isn't much going on in Sellaband that is similar to these guys. Highly Recommended. |

I was lucky enough to play live with this great band who are one of Australia's best live bands. They are tight and always entertaining.Led by a very charasmatic, beautiful lady with a sensational voice, Jo shines live. Pascal is the man on guitar - way cool and has such a friendly nature. Ben on bass jumps around the stage like his feet are on fire and Sevan is just keeping it all together. What a fantastic drummer!! You are amazing!! I have been playing your songs on myspace and Sellaband to death! All the very best on your journey to $50k. |

Luna Assassins was one of the first bands I noticed on SellaBand and it's one that makes an instant impression of energy and lots of fire inside. Milkshake is one of those songs that will shake you up and it still doesn't get boring after 3 months - definitely a very good sign :-) |

Not a huge fan of "funk" as such, though I quite like some Jamiroquai so I was um-img and ah-ing through the start of I Remember until the chorus kicked in, and, to paraphrase, it really rocked! So, there, in a nutshell is the last two words of your suggested Genres, both Funk and Rock! We could save time by combining the words, perhaps Ronk, or ... :-) |

I know, i know the era of pfunk is over, but still i´m hoping for a resurrection. Funk=Party=Funk Who ever has been to a concert of the godfathers George or Bootsy know that they keep you moving for hours and hours. So i clicked funk in the searchbox to see what came up. An australian band called Luna Assassins, but after hearing the first song i knew that´s not what i´m looking for never the less i kept listing and by the half of City Life the assassin attacked me and made me a believer. No funk here but just good rock music with powerfull vocals that reminds me of the energy i get by hearing Skin from Skunk Anancy. |

Certainly a great band from Australia. Unfortunately it would take me a 12 hours flight and a large amount of money, otherwise I would certainly like to attend at one of their performances. As they write themselves : "They are a vibrant band whose core belief is fun with focus. Here is the run down to get you up to speed! " It couldn't say it better myself.
