Dearest friends and believers, welcome to 2010!!! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and are enjoying the newest days of the New Year!
My surgery went well and every day is a little easier, thank God! The pain was excruciating and I am still on painkillers , but less of them. I can move from my elbow to my hand with ease, although with less strength but not for long and consequently I can play the piano YEAH!!! Not as well mind you, but at least I can!
The trouble is with shoulder surgery, is that I have to wait until the tendon fibres regrow to the bone, and that is what will take time. Three months of patience...oh yes...plenty of that. It is a little frustrating but the day that I can get through one night's sleep without being disturbed by the pain will be great! For sure that day is coming...soon I hope!
As for my songs, well I have to stop writing new ones, because the more music I write, the more lyrics I have to write and that is what slows me down. So I can confess that there are 2 more of 16 sets of lyrics to write before I select which songs will go on my album.
I had initially thought of using locally based musicians, but I will be speaking to some very famous world session musos to see if at least some of the instruments can be recorded out of Perth - if within my budget. My manager keeps touting the fact that it is important to have famous people playing on my album. That way, I have cause to perk up some interest in a little known artist such as myself. I can't tackle this until the next few weeks. Either way, I will have the final say.
In the next few weeks I will meet up with Pat to do some electronic demos before speaking to the musos and then it is only a matter of time friends! I will be in the studio!!!
2010 promises to be a fantastic year for me, and one that I have officially declared as "The Year of Lori Greco"
I have so much musically to do, including more trips back to Italy and a single, as well as recording my SAB album, that this year could be as busy and go as fast as the last one, but hey...it's what I have wanted all my life, so now, it's my time to shine and seize the opportunities that await me.

As I read your words I am listening to 'Everything is alright'. You've come through this unwanted physical ordeal so positively, Lori, even though it is not easy. This is your time, and deservedly so: like all your friends and believers, I am 'strong for you'.

That's the spirit...The Year of Lori Greco! I LOVE IT!!! Count me in...you have my support every step of the way!
I feel so badly that you are in pain; but I'm happy to know that the surgery was successful. I guess that is the most important thing, right?
Thank you for the wonderful update Lori and I wish you the very best in 2010! I can't wait to see what you surprise us with, because I know it will be nothing short of OUTSTANDING!!!!

Glad to hear the surgery went well and the pain is getting less, I wish you a speedy recovery. Hope 2010 is fantastic for you :D
