Milczenie Owiec [Silence of
the Lambs] was set up in the Spring of 2002. Since that date MO has played over
150 concerts with some of the greatest music stars in Poland and
abroad, the band has won also over a dozen festivals and music competitions. To
give an example, the band performed as part of the biggest polish "Rock
Festival" in Wegorzewo and "Hunter Fest" in Szczytno.
Previously demo versions of MO band's
songs have been played on many youth broadcasting stations. The hard way
through underground activity finally paid off. In 2004 MO signed a contract
with one of the world's largest independent music companies - EMI Music and
issued their first album "Twarze" ["Faces"] in June 2005.
"Faces" is an album full of
infectious melodies of the nu-metal-type sound. The lyrics are sung in polish
language in a poetic way. The main idea of the songs is to show various human
faces - their emotions, characters, existential problems. The music sounds
great to people who like the hard rock sound or the specific mood interlaced
with a rapacious yet subtle female voice.
The video for the first single "Cisza" ["Silence"] is being emitted on music TV channels, ex. Viva, 4funTV and radio stations not only Polish but German, English and American also. "Silence" also took a place in Polish Radio "Rock Hit List" CD. Moreover the MO band has been featured on various polish TV programs, like most wanted in Poland "Kuba Wojewódzki" show. Second single "Czesci" ["Parts"] had reached high level position in famous Marek Niedzwiecki hit list in Polish Radio Station 3. The most significant moment of bands career was a nomination to the most prestigious polish music award "Fryderyk" in "Best Rock Album of the Year" category - in company with well known rock bands Hey and Armia. At the same time MO vocalist Ola succeeds in the "Teraz Rock" magazine ranking by occupying the 4th place in the best female voice category.
MO band works in recording studio currently and prepares their second album – which should be issued in 2008. New compositions differs from the old ones especially for it’s freshness, dynamism and inner calm on the other hand. Self composed songs are diverse in their musical perception – some are mostly rockin’ ones: rapid rhythms and vocals, electric guitars and a lot of energy, whereas the other are more melodic and full of specific intense climate.
Furthermore one cover also should be issued - it’s still a secret, but we MO band betrays that in original it’s a song of famous polish group, which had changed a polish rock music a lot, in this good meaning of course: lots of fans, concerts all over the world, female vocalist of great charisma – all of these turned the band into international well known music band.

MO band in a recording studio
We’re recording our demo version album – which includes 4 MO songs and 1 cover (It’s still a secret, but we can betray that in original it’s a song of famous polish group, which had changed a polish rock music a lot, in this good meaning of course: lots of fans, concerts all over the world, female vocalist of great charisma – turned the band into international well known music band. As a young band of XXI we decided to remake one of their best songs).
Other 4 songs are diverse in their musical perception. “Proza” (“Prose”) and “Ćma” (“Moth”) are mostly rockin’ songs: rapid rhythms and vocals, electric guitars and a lot of energy. Whereas “Pokuta” (“Penance”) and “Wanna” (“Bathtub”) are more melodic ones, full of specific intense climate.
In few days time we would like to introduce U one of these songs – “Prose”.

Hello Sellaband friends!
MO Band is working on their new staff nowadays, and we aren’t playing any gigs unfortunately. But to break the silence - I would like to present U a few of our gigs that we played recently and we’re proud of it.
Diverse Night of the Jumps – Two gigs in two days of the FMX World Championship were a real success! We performed in one of the biggest stages in Poland – in Spodek arena in Katowice. There wasn’t a single person disappointed these nights. Pyrotechnical effects, amazing lights and sound show, dynamic music and dangeorus FMX tricks performed by the best riders in the world, heated the audience beyond any expectations. Poland became a real battleground for twelve outstanding Freestyle Motocross riders: from USA, Czech Republic, Germany, Poland and many others. See more: www.dext.pl/notj
WOŚP – MO Band played a concert in The Great Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity’s project in Szczecin. It was a lot of fun and good, positive vibrations. WOŚP is sponsored by big companies and it is a huge, ‘multi-layers’ action and the source of funds -eventually spent by the Foundation on medical equipment for Public Hospitals in Poland. The Finale is one day long, nation-wide money gathering on the first Sunday of the year. Volunteers previously registered in the Foundation collect money on the streets of their hometowns as well as they organize all kind of creative rallies; parties, concerts, auctions, shows. The society contributes concern, and the artists free performances. All the revenues are turned over to The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity. All day long-live-television broadcast (recently also internet broadcast at www.wosp.org.pl) are integral elements of the Great Finale. Thanks to active participation of the media hundreds of thousand of people get involved in The Great Finale, which makes our action one of the most powerful and effective charities in the world.

I am still convinced that these guys are as good a rock band as there is on Sellaband - the new song is yet another example

This is a hugely talented band who just don't seem to have come to terms with what Sellaband is all about!. Such a shame. Two months now and no update - people rightly wont invest while this situation remains.
