>o-side< was founded when Christian Chironi and William Buscicchio met by accident at Marco’s house in september 2002 and decided to form a band. In the first time the band was composed by Christian C., William B., Marco S. And Francesco U., with the name “RAIN”, in the second time the band  settled on the name >offside<. Later Marco and Francesco leaves the band to follow other plans. In May Christian and William  decided to find another drummer, when Christian met by accident Danilo M. on the arceologic exavetion. In September 2003 the band it’s complete!

The EP Why, from >o-side< (2003),  were the peak of their  success. Since Why  the band have fallen out of fashion particularly with the Italian music press. Their style altered little from >o-side<  through Why (2003), based around fairly straightforward guitar playing, often influenced by the style of 1970s British and alternative-rock.

Nowhere (2006) was more adventurous, experimenting with dance influences and a less polished guitar sound, though keeping the traditional sound for several songs, including the first single Welcome to the End

the name o-side it's not an our choice. the original name is offside, but an italian band with an equal name inpugned a cause against us for change our name...

so we changed in o-side because the suond of the her pronunciation same to offside.

well, so o-side mean offside for us. 

Il gruppo nasce nel giugno del 2003. Gli >o-side< riescono a trovare nella compattezza del gruppo le energie e le giuste motivazioni. L'idea è quella di contraddistinguere un prodotto lontano dagli schemi, la loro anima musicale subisce l'influenza del rock delineando un'impronta sonora riconoscibile e molto personale. Nel Dicembre 2004 il gruppo incide il primo EP cantato in inglese "Why".L’EP ottiene ottimi riscontri e recensioni su internet(MusicalNews,RockIt...), giornali(RockSound,Salento,Quotidiano…), tv e radio(Radio Manbassa, RadioFax, Reteotto..).

Sempre nel mese di Dicembre la band partecipa all' Ostuni Rock Festval - concorso musicale per gruppi rock emergenti e li ha visti ricevere il premio "per la creatività sonora" direttamente da CLAUDIO GOLINELLI e ANDREA INNESTO ( BASSISTA E SASSOFONISTA DI VASCO ROSSI ).

Altre importanti partecipazioni e festival:semifinali Emergenza Festival 2004, Fragagnano Rock’n’Festival 2004, finali provinciali Arezzo Wave nell’edizione del 2005 e in quella del 2006, Suoni Nelle Cave 2005, Piceno On The Rock 2005, Music Village 2005. vincitori regionali di Primo maggio tutto l’anno nell’edizione 2006, hanno partecipato a numerose esibizioni permettendo alla band di suonare accanto a gruppi affermati come Banda Bassotti e Apres La Classe e Zero assoluto.

Attualmente è stato "prodotto" dagli >o-side< il loro primo album, NOWHERE, che ha già riscosso un ottimo successo tra il pubblico ed è stato recensito ottimamente in alcuni network del web. Anche la critica ha accolto positivamente il loro nuovo lavoro.

Dai loro brani traspare un'attenta affabilità della forma canzone, intesa come veicolo di emozioni e non come un piccolo contenitore di note casuali. Anzi, gli o-side non lasciano niente al caso. I tre preparano nei minimi dettagli ogni prodotto (live e in studio) che esce dalla loro fucina. incorporano le sonorità più ispide e un senso pop raffinato, innescando così una tensione emotiva sempre evidente. La band propone un sound diretto e coinvolgente tra il rock-pop melodico ed lo sperimentale, richiamando lo stile dei Pink Floyd, Radiohead, con quella vena melodica dei Muse e la passione di Jeff Buckley.
